When I had a dinner with my classmate,he said”How old are you?”.
It is commonly said,though it is impolite to ask the age of woman,I am not care about it.
I used to think that this is a problem on the women’s side.
However, I recently realized that the reality of the problem is that men are sensitive about aging of women,when a man apologized when asking my age.
If an artist whose gender is “male”,24 or 28 is not a problem.But “28(now I am 27 then) female artist” would be
rude for “male artist”.
Always EVERY one says”plz say that that place, that time.”
But you don’t realize the gender problem until you think about it later.
クラスメートと夕食を食べた時、彼は「あなたは何歳ですか？」と言った。
女性の年齢を聞くのは良いことではありませんが、私は気にしません。
そしてそれは、それが気にするのは女性の問題だと私は思っていました。
しかし、その時、彼は謝罪しました。おそらく日本では、男性は女性の年齢についてもっとナイーブです。
性別が「男性」24、28のアーティストは問題ありませんが、「28才女性」の年齢を聞くことは
“男性アーティスト”にとっては当然失礼なことだったのです。
常に誰もが “その時その場で指摘しなさい”と言う。
しかし、ジェンダーの問題はそこでは気づきにくいです。
